After crooked Judge Higgins (Karl Malden) steals the map, many adventures take place when they try to retrieve the map.

Entertaining film with a hilarious performance by Ruth Gordon as Philo's crazy mother Senovia "Ma" Boggs.

Now, pieces of the puzzle fit together, and they figure out that Field's co-worker Lew Haley (Pat Hingle) is the guilty culprit. Dillman and Haley have a confrontation, and Haley crashes through the hi-rise office window and plummets to the pavement below.
