In one of the last spaghetti Westerns, card shark Stubby Preston (Fabio Testi) arrives in a Utah town where he gets in trouble and is jailed. The four travel together looking for people to swindle, but violence begins when they run across mean villain Chaco (Tomas Milian).

A voodoo curse has caused Sir Edward Markham's (Alistar Williamson) face to be terribly disfigured, and his brother Julian (Vincent Price) keeps Edward locked in the attic. As his means of escape, Edward gets help from witch doctor N'Galo (Harry Baird) who gives him medicine to make him appear dead. But, N'Galo has double-crossed him, and Edward is put in a coffin and buried. Grave robbers retrieve him, and his "body" is taken to anatomist Dr. Neuhardt (Christopher Lee) who revives him, and now Edward goes on a killing spree seeking revenge for his betrayal.
