Four of W. Somerset Maugham's stories are presented in this film, with each being introduced by the author. The stories are: "The Facts of Life," "Alien Corn," "The Kite," and "The Colonel's Lady." All are excellent, and due to the success of this omnibus, three others were produced the following year in "Trio."

This Disney epic adventure is the story of Rob Roy MacGregor's efforts in the 18th century to lead his fellow Scotsmen against the English rule. A rare poor effort from the Disney crowd.

Another group of Somerset Maugham (who again introduces each one) stories following the four presented in "Quartet" the previous year. Good acting and directing are again evident in these tales: "The Verger," "Mr. Knowall," and "Sanatorium."
