While attending a writers camp, Benjamin meets Tabatha (Halley Feiffer) and Lonnie (Hector Jimenez). They offer Benjamin $300 for the manuscript so Lonnie can make a film of it. Meanwhile, at a sci-fest, Benjamin submits his manuscript to Dr. Chevalier (Jermaine Clement) who steals it for himself. Chevalier changes the name of Bronco to Brutus (also Sam Rockwell) and alters many of the details. Interspersed with the story, the three versions of Benjamin's story are shown, and then, finally, Benjamin confronts Chevalier and accuses him of plagiarism.
