The trail leads behind the Iron Curtain while Palmer searches for missing Dr. Radcliff (Aubrey Richards) who possesses the valuable file with the word "Ipcress" printed on it. When Radcliff is found, it is learned that he has been brainwashed, and now Palmer is battling not only the kidnappers but the CIA as well. Sequels: "Funeral in Berlin" and "Billion Dollar Brain."
