| Blount and Thorton were excellent portraying a shattered couple from the loss of a child. Ray McKinnon was an excellent character and the writing for him at least was awesome. This is one of my favorite. The southern music was a beautiful part like in Black Snake Moan.|

When ex-con, Elvis worshipper Sailor Ripley (Nicolas Cage) elopes with Lula Pace Fortune (Laura Dern), her mother Marietta (Diane Ladd) will stop at almost nothing to get her daughter back.
