  While traveling on an ocean liner, three passengers remember their love stories in this movie which is actually a trio of short films. The first story involves talented dancer Paula Woodward (Moira Shearer) whose heart condition is ruining her life. The second story is about young Tommy (Ricky Nelson)who is transformed for one night into an adult (now played by Farley Granger) and learns much about his French tutor. And, in the third story, Pierre Narval (Kirk Douglas) was a trapeze artistwho rescues Nina (Pier Angeli) from the Seine and convinces her to become his new trapeze partner.
