They stake a claim, and Yancey starts a newspaper business that proves very profitable. Yancey gains respectability as a leading citizen and is asked to run for governor. But, Yancey realizes that becoming governor would mean he would play a role in defrauding the Indians of their land and mineral rights. He declines the offer, much to the dismay of Sabra.

Then there are the two women who (physically) fight over the marshal. This comedy/western/musical falls short of its mark, but old-timers will enjoy Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys' songs. Director Strayer and Penny Singleton took time off from their "Blondie" series for this one.
