  Roy King (Lee Van Cleef) and his outlaw gang rob a bank, and, while leaving on a train, King meets and marries beautiful Alice (Gina Lollobrigida). But, Alice has set King up and steals the loot. Now, Senor Montero (James Mason) offers King's outlaw gang $1 million to blow up a Mexican fortress, but the outlaws are once again outsmarted by the devious Alice.

They board a steamer that breaks down and sinks on their way to Africa, and they are taken hostage by Arabian gunrunners. Now, as a result of their misadventure, their lives rest in the hands of the gunrunners.

He does reach Esmeralda and falls in love with her, but his efforts to bring her to Frollo fail, and Quasimodo gets arrested. Now, Esmeralda runs to the arms of Phoebus (Jean Danet)–leaving Quasimodo heartbroken.

Grey Travis (Peter Lawford), and medical supplies back to his troops, Tom meets and romances Carla (Gina Lollobrigida) who is the mistress of local businessman Nikko Regas (Paul Henreid). Tom rejoins the troops and then finds that his reinforcements have been killed by Nationalist Chinese forces. Against orders, Reynolds leads his guerilla fighters into China and seeks retribution through bloodshed. A court martial follows, but Reynolds is able to make his point and is cleared. Meanwhile, Carla must decide whether or not to change her life and go to the U.S. with Reynolds.
