A committed bachelor Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey) returns to his family estate for the wedding of his brother Paul (Breckin Meyer). It was Connor's deceased, womanizing Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas) who taught young Connor how to treat women, and, on the eve of the wedding, Uncle Wayne delivers a message to Connor through the ghosts of Connor's past, present, and future jilted girlfriends. They will help Connor discover his "true" self and whether or not he will have the chance to find "true" love.
