Bill Elliott's last appearance as Red Ryder, but the series continued with Allan 'Rocky' Lane in the lead role.

Roy Rogers tries to help Peggy Lane (Dale Evans) stake her claim to the oil rights and, in the process, settle the Lane-Whittaker feud. Meanwhile, Gabby Whittiker (George "Gabby" Hayes) becomes romantically involved with Peggy's gun-packing Grandma Lane (Maude Eburne). The songs include "I"m Beginning to See the Light" and "Dragin' the Wagon."
