They escape together, and Dan, working undercover, joins Jim's gang of stage robbers who are led secretly by bank manager Lige Branscomb (Alden "Stephen" Chase). Branscomb is courting Tess (Phyllis Hume), who Dan had earlier rescued, and Dan works with coffee shop owner Stella (Lois January) to save Tess from marrying Branscomb. Now, Dan realizes that he is in love with Stella, and they set out to live happily ever after.
