In the process they take hostages, including Detective Turner (Rae Dawn Chong) and Detective McKenna's (also Lamas) wife. When McKenna shows up, bullets fly and Lyle is killed. Now, McKenna takes on the persona of Lyle to finish the job, as does Turner, McKenna's partner. Poor story, poor acting, poor directing, etc.

They work from the upper floors of a Montreal skyscraper that is under construction and have most of their adventures from there, including bickering and sex.
