Not only did Turpin rape Todd's wife, which caused her to commit suicide; now he has adopted Todd's daughter Johanna (Betsy Joslyn). Todd puts his plan into action: as a barber he will cut more than Todd's and other customers' hair, and then Mrs. Lovett (Angela Lansbury) will bake his victims in her meat pies.
