  In this sequel to "Arsene Lupin" (1932), Ex-FBI agent Steve Emerson (Warren William) is bringing $250,000 in jewels to France, so can the famous jewel thief Arsene Lupin (Melvyn Douglas) be far behind? Arsene is now using the alias of Rene Farrand and is romantically interested in wealthy Lorraine de Grissac (Virginia Bruce). Meanwhile, Steve is also interested in Lorraine and becomes suspicious of Rene. The police think that Arsene is dead, but he is plotting to steal the gems. The original "Arsene Lupin" starred John and Lionel Barrymore.
