DJ Pooh of rap fame wrote and directed this urban comedy/drama centered on Rob (Brian Hooks) who has just been released from jail. But–he now has two strikes and one more will be a major problem. So, when his friend shoots a cop who stops the car that Rob is riding in, Rob escapes, determined to clear himself. Little appeal to most people.

The story takes place years later when Mai tracks down their birth mother, Vinh (Tzi Ma), and brings her home. Inevitable problems ensue.

Dorr and his friends (Marlon Wayans, J.K. Simmons, Tzi Ma, and Ryan Hurst) plan to tunnel from Mrs. Munson's root cellar into a riverboat casino's vault. Pretending to be a classical music ensemble practicing in the basement, they play sacred music on a recorder to cover up noises from their tunneling. Broke–no money for rent, and car booted–Sean (Dr. Dre) gets a job at his roommate Dee Loc's (Snoop Dogg) car wash where the owner, Mr. Washington (George Wallace), hires him as assistant manager. Sean immediately takes on his management role, enjoying the powers that go with his station. Then Mr. Washington is kidnapped, and the roomies join forces to save the day.
