This film is a good rendition of Irving Stone's biography of Rachel Jackson (Susan Hayward) and her famous husband, President Andrew Jackson (Charlton Heston). Hysteria fills the town–until Carolyn is found when it is discovered that she has fallen down a well. Now, Claude comes to her rescue, brings Carolyn to safety, and racial tensions are relieved. This would be a good movie to show in places where there are no ethnic people and why we don't become friends and neighbors with other people? |
