(500) Days of Summer 2009 PG-13, 95 min. Genre: Comedy / Drama / Romance
Cast: Zooey Deschanel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Clark Gregg, Minka Kelly, Matthew Gray Gubler, Rachel Boston, Geoffrey Arend, Chloe Moretz, Patricia Belcher, Ian Reed Kesler, Darryl Alan Reed, Valente Rodriguez, Yvette Nicole Brown, Nicole Vicius, Natalie Boren
Greeting-card writer Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is romantically attracted to Summer (Zooey Deschanel), but Summer is not ready to fall in love. That does not stop Tom from pursuing her, and the "500 days" represents the time during which Tom is obsessed with winning Summer's affection. The story jumps back and forth during the 500 days, and one segment is highlighted by a split-screen on which one side is labeled "expectation," while the other is labeled "reality" as Tom tries to convince Summer that they have found true love. 1 User Review
