A double-cross by quirky thieves–Mackin (Alex Baldwin) and Pointy (Michael Jai White)–leads to retribution plots that threaten to accelerate into full-fledged Mob wars. Pointy hires two cops to kill Mackin, but Mackin kills them instead. Detective Petrone (Rebecca De Mornay) investigates the murders and tries to figure out Mackin's mode of operation. The characters in this story are multidimensional and provide good entertainment.
