Kyle and Evie Preston's (Jameson Baltes and Brittney Bowmann) grandmother told them magical stories about fairies trapped under the ground by giants. They discover that there are fairies living in the mine and that the fairies have the cure for Kyle and Evie's terminally ill father Rob (Corbin Bernsen). Kyle and Evie free the fairies, and Rob's life is saved.

The plot involves Wolverine getting revenge against the villain who has been capturing members of a military team of mutants, which includes Viktor. Viktor tricks Wolverine into being injected by the evil Col. Stryker (Danny Huston) with "Adamantium" that causes his hands to sprout metal claws. Now, Wolverine sets off to put an end to the evil acts.
