Up until now, ineffective tennis coach Chip Williams (Richard Roundtree) has not had a winning season. He has been issued an ultimatum from the college that tells him that he will lose his job if the team does not shine. Williams takes Los Angeles college team to Las Vegas for a Western Conference championship, but the team is more interested in partying that playing tennis.
