Lizzie and Alex (Reba McEntire and Tim Matheson) are happily married with a little girl. Lizzie suffers a stroke and falls into a coma, and Alex cares for her over the years with help from Lizzie's best friend, Gail (Bess Armstrong). When Gail's husband dies, Alex and Gail start an affair. After 20 years, Lizzie awakens in good health and must cope with a world she doesn't know as well as dealing with the family problems. A heavy dose of soap.
