Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland 1992 G, 85 min. Genre: Animation / Family / Adventure / Fantasy
Director: Misami Hata, William T. Hurtz Cast: Gabriel Damon, Mickey Rooney, Rene Auberjonois, Danny Mann, Laura Mooney, Bernard Erhard, William E. Martin, Alan Oppenheimer, Michael Bell, Sidney Miller, Nancy Cartwright, June Foray, Kathleen Freeman, Michael Gough
Jointly made by the U.S. and Japan (taking advantage of Japan's animation techniques), this is a good children's story based on an early 1900s' comic strip. Dreams take Nemo (voice of Gabriel Damon) and his flying squirrel friend (voice of Danny Mann) off to a magic land where he befriends the king (voice of Bernard Erhard) and receives the keys to the kingdom. One no-no: do not open the forbidden door. Of course Nemo does, and bad things happen as the forces from Nightmareland are unleashed. Nemo learns several lessons while saving Slumberland.
