  Two couples–Alan and Wendy McKim (John Gregson and Dinah Sheridan) and Ambrose Claverhouse and Rosalind Peters (Kenneth More and Kay Kendall)–compete in the Vintage Car Club's rally between London and Brighton. As the 50+ mile race ensues, competition between the couples increases, and the men even use sabotage methods to come out ahead in the race. Comedy reigns as problems are encountered during the race in this delightful story. Great performances, excellent writing, and beautiful landscapes make this film worth watching.

  This film provides great satire on the world of labor/management relations. Set in 1950s England, Oxford educated Stanley Windrush (Ian Carmichael) takes a job as a laborer at his uncle's (Dennis Price) munitions factory. His incompetence is noticed by his fellow workers, but he gets sympathy from union official Fred Kate (Peter Sellers). Then, Stanley really messes up and finds that he has been set up by his uncle and is now in the middle of a scheme by his uncle to control his workers.

  Marcus (Alec Guinness) is the leader of an inept gang of thieves planning a robbery. The ploy does not work, and when she learns the truth about them the gang decides to kill her. Bad idea–and they are thwarted by the doddering Mrs. Wilberforce.

  Frank Clements (Dirk Bogarde) breaks into the home of criminal psychologist Dr. Clive Esmond (Alexander Knox) who, after catching him, offers to help Frank reform and give up his life of crime. The rehabilitation begins, but Clive's wife Glenda (Alexis Smith), who doesn't care for Frank at first, is finally seduced by him–and that is when Frank decides that he really wants to reform. But, Glenda has other ideas and convinces Frank to get into her car, which she drives off a cliff. Glenda is killed, but Frank manages to survive.
