  Outlaws attack a wagon train, and the parents of young brothers Jack (Buddy Cox) and Jimmy (Texi-Ray Cox) are killed. Jack is adopted by Indians, and Jimmy is kidnapped by the outlaws. They grow up apart but are reunited when Jimmy, now known as the Kansas Kid (Dennis Moore), leads his outlaw gang in an ambush of Jeff (Glenn Strange) and his daughter Mary's (Joyce Bryant) wagon train. Jack, now known as Cherokee (Addison Randall) tries to lead them to safety, and now the gang sets out to eliminate Cherokee. They kidnap Buckskin (Hal Price) who has teamed up with Cherokee, and he overhears them talking about killing the Kid's parents. Cherokee rescues Buckskin, and he tells Cherokee the truth about his brother. The gang attacks, but the brothers bond together in battling the outlaws. Jimmy is mortally wounded while avenging his parents' death, but Jack's future looks brighter, and he asks Mary to marry him.

  Rancher Mike O'Day (Steve Clark) hires government agent Tom Kenyon (Tom Keene) and his sidekick Pierre La Farge (Frank Yaconelli) to help with the problem of a coalition between railroad owner Ed Spencer (I. Stanford Jolley) and rancher Ted Greenway (Hal Price). They want to charge the neighboring ranchers exorbitant prices to ship their horses and cattle as the means of forcing them out of the cattle business. Kenyon comes up with a plan to stop Spencer and Greenway, but will it work?

  When the Marx Brothers become part of the hoity-toity opera world, comedy abounds in this Marx Brothers' classic. In an attempt to reunite with his lover Rosa (Kitty Carlisle), Ricardo (Allan Jones) joins up with Fiorello and Tomasso (Chico Marx and Harpo Marx) to stow away on a ship headed for New York. They are prepared to pull out all stops to get Ricardo a job as the leading tenor in the New York Opera Company where Rosa is starring as the leading lady. They arrive in New York, but the authorities, who want to catch the stowaways, are on their trail, and they join up with Otis P. Driftwood (Groucho Marx) in their attempt to stay one step ahead of the authorities.

Butler does agree and goes to the plantation where problems lie ahead in the form of Gloria (Helen Vinson) who is the wife of former foreman Bob Anderson (Jerome Cowan), sexy nightclub singer Lee Donley (Ann Sheridan), and Latino bandits led by Rosario "Rosie" La Mata (George Tobias).
