Now, as he lies dying of AIDS, he reflects on his life.

Barrie was prosecuted for exhibiting the sexually explicit photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe. An interesting examination of the museum's right to use controversial art in its exhibition.

Although he wants to forget his heritage and enjoy life as a Manhattanite, Dave is forced into a feud over who can claim the gypsy crown when his father, Groffo (Judd Hirsch), plots to murder Dave and take the title for himself.
