The brothers are captured by the Marshal, but it is not until they admit that Bob was never a part of the gang that Ruth returns his love.

When they are released from prison, Charley forces Panhandle to go with him back to his old gang, and Charley, unaware of the map on his foot, becomes an important player in retrieving the loot. When Tim arrives, confusion ensues, and Newt believes that Tim has double-crossed him. Tim joins Nate's gang, and all ends happily when Tim defeats the gang, Nate's ranch is saved, and Tim and Ann can live happily ever after.

Tex escapes and sends for help from the Rangers who come to the rescue and arrest the rustlers.

Lucille runs into singing cowboy Roy Rogers who helps her tow her car into the town and then goes to the Golden Nugget gambling house and meets prospector Gabby Whittaker (George "Gabby" Hayes). Gabby realizes that Lucille looks like her grandmother, Kansas Kate. Lucille falls asleep in Kate's room and dreams about her grandmother (also played by Evans). Her dreams include experiences Kate had with Gabby when he made a gold strike and how a cowboy prevented Cyril and Buster (Hardie Albright and Roy Barcroft) from stealing his claim, and the cowboy became her boyfriend. The grandmother's boyfriend looks a lot like Roy Rogers.

Dude rescues Jean, and, after he tells her that his name is really Kenneth Early and that he has been working undercover to find his brother's killer, Jean and Dude are ready to live happily ever after.
