As in many impressionist films, the meaning of the story may rest with the individual viewer.

She even has been shoplifting toys, until she meets a man who turns out to by a hypnotherapist. He seems to cure her, and the emphasis shifts to her husband (Vincent Lindon) who has trouble communicating with her. A good job by the two stars.

But, it turns out that Leo's wife, Core (Beatrice Dalle), shares Shane's affliction and must be locked up in her own home to prevent her doing harm to unsuspecting souls. Could Shane and Core both be victims of Leo's experiments with the human libido?
