This award-winning film, set in a Brazilian desert during April, 1910, reveals the effects on feuding families who see honor in revenge. For a brief time, Tonho and his young brother, Pacu (Ravi Ramos Lacerda), escape by running away with a traveling circus. But honor weighs heavily, and they return home to face Tonho's fate.
