  During World War II, U.S. Army Intelligence Major Jefferson Pike (James Garner) is captured by the Germans shortly before D-Day. In an effort to get information about an Allied invasion, Pike's captors drug him to convince him that the war is long over and that he has suffered from amnesia for the last six years. Pike is also told that he has a wife, but Anna (Eva Marie Saint) is not really married to him. She took this assignment to get away from abuse in her concentration camp. Pike catches on to the ploy, and the game of cat-and-mouse ensues between Pike and the Nazi doctor, Major Walter Gerber (Rod Taylor), who is pumping him for information.

Ari achieves victory, and now 30,000 more Jews relocate into the Holy Land. Sal Mineo received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. One other nomination was received, and the film won an Oscar for Best Cinematography.

An Academy Award nomination was received for Best Picture, and Alan Arkin was nominated for Actor.

Bud's wealthy father Ace (Ned Beatty) wants him to go to Yale, but Bud wants to get married and settle down as a rancher. While the story is about class consciousness and the strict rules of sexuality during an earlier era, it provides enjoyable fare.

  George C. Scott takes on the role of Captain Smith in this TV version of the 1912 sinking of the famous ocean liner, Titanic. Too many tedious romantic scenes finally give way to improved drama as Smith tries to save his doomed ship. (In the end, Smith could not save the ship, and Scott could not save the film.)
