They arrive in England where, one day while practicing for her swim, Katie meets dashing Frenchman Andre Lanet (Fernando Lamas) who both helps and distracts Katie in her preparations for the race. But, Katie does succeed in her swim, and Andre even jumps in and swims the final mile with her. A highlight of this film involves the cartoon sequence representing Katie's dream in which she swims with Tom and Jerry.

They dance to music from Larry's portable radio, and Rosalind becomes attracted to him. When they return, problems rise to the fore–including a possible court martial for Larry's improper conduct. But, by story's end, Rosalind and Larry are preparing to live happily ever after.
