  I saw this movie for the first time last weekend. How refreshing to watch a real movie, no reality show, just a movie.

It was interesting and funny, you should watch. Kim Novak is beautiful and who doesnt' like Jimmy Stewart.

  After Sam (John Wayne) and George (Stewart Granger) strike gold in Alaska, Sam goes to Seattle to bring back George's fiancee but finds that she has married someone else. Sam heads for a saloon and meets French dancer Michelle (Capucine). He invites her to join him on the trek back to Alaska as a replacement for George's fiancee. Michelle agrees to the plan, and all goes well–until Sam falls in love with Michelle. Other problems rise to the fore with George's young brother Billy (Fabian) who is smitten with Michelle, but she resists his advances. Meanwhile, con-man Frankie Cannon (Ernie Kovacs) plots to convince Michelle to help him steal George and Sam's gold claim. By story's end, Sam, George, Billy, and Michelle join forces to protect the gold, and Sam and Michelle discover their love for each other.

  As a way to raise morale, World War II American soldiers stationed in France plan a big blast of a party and invite the nurses who they work with. But, the nurses are officers, and the soldiers are enlisted men, and they are not allowed to fraternize. Their commanding officer, Capt. Locke (Ernie Kovacs) sticks by the rules, so Pvt. Hogan (Jack Lemmon), with help from Sgt. Yancy Skibo (Mickey Rooney), sneaks around and arranges for the party to be held at a local hotel managed by Mme. LaFour (Jeanne Manet). One of the nurses, Betty Bixby (Kathryn Grant), is Hogan's love interest, and she is not sure that the scheme will work.

Wormold invents information on agents and events for which he is paid, and he uses his ill-begotten money for his daughter Milly (Jo Morrow) to appease her expensive tastes. The crooked police chief, Capt. Segura (Ernie Kovacs), believes that Wormold is truly a spy, and he finds Millie attractive. Wormold's reputation accelerates, and–in spite of his false reports–he actually performs a service for Britain.
