The FBI provides Carlin with a top-secret surveillance machine that allows him to look through a time window and observe events that took place four days and six hours ago. Carlin watches events in the life of Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton) whose body was found in the ferry wreckage. Carlin knows that Claire had been murdered previously before the ferry explosion, and now, events heat up as Carlin watches, tries to save Claire from being murdered, and falls in love with her in the process.

Miriam Thompson becomes an activist for the cause while her husband goes the other direction. A good depiction of an important time in American history.
