George Lucas' furry creatures, the Ewoks, from the "Star Wars" series, are brought back in two made-for-TV movies. This is the first one, and was followed by "Ewoks: The Battle for Endor." In this episode, the Towani family's shuttle crashes on the moon Endor, and the parents are captured by the giant Gorax. Their son and daughter come across the friendly Ewoks and talk them into helping find their parents. And the search begins with perils and magic along the way.

Marauders led by a bad witch attack the Ewok village, and Cindel is the only survivor of the Towani family that crashed on Endor in the first film. She and EwokWicket escape but the other Ewoks are captured. With the help of a hermit, who had also crashed on Endor, they fight back.
