In this remake of Takashi Miike's 2003 film, two of Beth's (Shannyn Sossamon) friends have died by violent means after receiving calls on their cell phones from the future; their own voices were heard as they were being killed. Now Beth receives her call and has just three days to get to the bottom of what is going on. She teams up with detective Jack Andrews (Edward Burns) whose sister had died under similar circumstances.
