This is a watchable, second TV remake of Rudyard Kipling's classic story, which is "updated" to the 1930s. A spoiled, young heir (Kenny Vadas) falls from a luxury liner and is rescued by fishermen. After a few months of hard work, he learns about values and friendship.

Stephen King's story is the basis for this film involving Leland Gaunt (Max von Sydow) opening up an antiques store, "Needful Things," in Castle Rock, Maine.
