This time around, the absent-minded inventor Wayne Szalinski (Rick Moranis) has decided to use his shrink machine once again and now accidentally shrinks himself, his brother Gordon (Stuart Pankin), and their wives Patty (Robin Bartlett) and Diane (Eve Gordon). Their children are not aware of what has happened, and, unknown to them, their parents are watching when they use their parents' absence to throw parties. The parents use the stereo speakers to restore order and, in the process, gain respect for their children.
