Mermaids possess powers to grant wishes, and Aquamarine makes a deal with the girls: if they help her attract a certain good-looking lifeguard (Jake McDorman), she will grant them their wish.   Twenty eight years ago my then elementary school children and I watched this movie together. We still say to each other "Bye Boat".

Genre: Comedy
Director: Jerry Paris
Cast: Sandy Duncan, Tony Roberts, Todd Susman, Elizabeth Allen, Art Lewis, Allen Jung, Helen Kleeb, Harry Northrup, Gordon Bosserman, Jim Conners

Sandy Duncan, as an all-American girl, is the only bright spot in this Neil Simon failure. Our heroine is up against radical newspapermen (Tony Roberts and Todd Susman).
