The Count and Ferdinand go their separate ways until they reunite in Paris where they meet beautiful Nicole (Marie-Helene Breillat), and both fall in love with her. Nicole chooses Ferdinand and accidentally exposes the Count to sunlight, which makes him disappear. A few years later, Nicole and Ferdinand have married and have two children. While playing, the daughter cuts her knee, causing the son to sprout fangs–and the family spirit continues.
