  Pretty waitress Mary Beekman (Irene Ware) yearns to find a wealthy husband and work her way up the social ladder. She convinces millionaire Kenneth Alden (Sidney Blackmer), who is secretly in love with her, to help her find the man of her dreams. In a comedy of errors, Mary ends up with retired bootlegger Pat Brennan (Russell Hopton) who has used his own social deceptions and believes Mary is the daughter in a wealthy family.
