Now, here's an interesting twist to Robert Louis Stevenson's tale. Dr. Jekyll (Ralph Bates) is looking for the elixir that will wipe out all diseases; instead, he comes up with a formula that turns him into the beautiful, but evil, woman Sister Hyde (Martine Beswick). Because female hormones are needed for the experiment, prostitutes are lured to their deaths. Finally, Dr. Jekyll tries to fight off the ever increasing dominance of Sister Hyde, but his efforts may be too late. A good performance by Beswick–and she even looks somewhat like Bates.
