Meanwhile, Steve's father, Admiral "Skeet" Kelso (Charlton Heston), is searching the desert for his grandson Mike (Corin Nemec) who has crashed a plane while going AWOL from his military academy. Mike meets Travis (Jack Palance) in the desert, and they go to Teague's headquarters where Travis is killed and Mike is captured. The Admiral and his commandos raid the headquarters and rescue Mike. Meanwhile, Alex changes her mind, knocks out Kelso, and pilots Freddy into the sun and saves the world.
