  Dr. Lawrence (Peter Cushing) lives in seclusion in his English manor, which has a locked room in the attic where he keeps his adult son who suffers from cannibalism. The son manages to escape, and murder and mayhem ensues when Daphne Welles-Hunter's (Veronica Carlson) car breaks down during a cross-country auto race, and she seeks help at Lawrence's estate. But, is it really Lawrence's son who is responsible?
