Hit Man 1972 R, 90 min. Genre: Drama
Director: George Armitage Cast: Bernie Casey, Pam Grier, Lisa Moore, Bhetty Waldron, Sam Laws, Candy All, Don Diamond, Ed Cambridge, Bob Harris, Roger E. Mosley, Rudy Challenger, Marilyn Joi, Christopher Joy, John Lupton, Diane Sommerfield
This is a poor remake of the previous year's "Get Carter," though the acting from the all-Black cast isn't too bad. Tyrone Tackett (Bernie Casey) arrives in L.A. for the funeral of his brother and ends up tracking down those responsible for his death. Slow, with some authentic back-street L.A. atmosphere. Remade again under the original name in 2000.

Spencer Tracy was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor in this film, and Dimitri Tiomkin won the Oscar for Best Musical Score.
