French policeman Alain Moreau (Jean-Claude Van Damme) learns that he is a twin only after his brother Mikhail dies, and he determines to get to the truth behind Mikhail's death. He impersonates Mikhail and infiltrates Mikhail's Russian Mafia in his neighborhood in Brooklyn. Once there, Alain becomes involved with Mikhail's former girlfriend Alex (Natasha Henstridge) and then finds himself in danger from Mikhail's associates.
