Set in Beverly Hills, this social satire takes place in the upscale home of (apparently) happily-married Bill and Bernadette (Andrew Duggan and Joyce Van Patten). Bone (Yaphet Kotto), a serial rapist, forces his way into their house and demands money. Thus begins the unveiling of the lies upon which Bill's and Bernadette's life is based as well as Bone's own demons. Larry Cohen's directorial debut.

The early years of Sneed's life are shown through flashbacks. Watch for Frankie Avalon as a crook behind bars yelling, "Don't hurt me! Don't hurt me!"
