Adelaide is booked on a European tour and, unbeknownst to Jane, sends her maid Katie (Allyn Ann McLerie) to perform. After failing at her first performance, Katie becomes a success and tries to make a "lady" out of Jane. Meanwhile, Jane thinks she is falling for handsome Lt. Gilmartin (Philip Carey), but when Gilmartin is attracted to Katie instead, Jane finally realizes that it is Wild Bill who she has loved all along. Terrific music; songs include "Deadwood Stage," "Secret Love," and "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better." "Secret Love" won the Oscar for Best Song.
