It is Summer in 1957, and teenage sisters Dani (Reese Witherspoon) and Maureen (Emily Warfield) both fall in love with Court Foster (Jason London) who has just moved into their rural Louisiana neighborhood. Maureen must decide whether or not to accept Court's love and betray her sister. Meanwhile, Dani must deal with her jealousy. Then, fate steps in with a tragedy, and Dani and Maureen must use their love for each other to get through the crisis.
