Huckleberry Finn 1975 TV, 78 min. Genre: Family
Director: Robert Totten Cast: Ron Howard, Antonio Fargas, Jack Elam, Merle Haggard, Donny Most, Royal Dano, Dee Carroll, Rance Howard, Clint Howard, Jean Howard
This is a pretty good version of the Mark Twain classic tale. The Howard family plays many of the parts as Ron is Huck in this TV production. Fargas is the runaway slave Jim, as Huck and Jim raft down the Mississippi River. Most of the social bite of Twain's story is missing.

| | Inside Daisy Clover-Must come out on DVD | BigDinTampa 08/03/2007 | | I have seen this movie several times on television and saw it in theaters when it first came out. This is a very touching and moving story of a young neglected girls rag to riches story. She lives in a small trailer with her mother played by Ruth Gordon who gives a wonderful performance. Daisy, played by Natalie Wood, makes a demo record at a carny area on the beach. She is soon discovered and made into a star by a ruthless movie mogul played by Christopher Plummer. He demands that she plays a sweet innocent little girl, but she is soon corrupted by a good looking actor played by Robert Redford, who leads her down the wrong path. He is out for one thing and the naive girl falls for his act. The sexual twist is worth waiting for and the performances were stellar. This movie should be rated 3 and 1/2 stars. |
