Nickie makes the date on the Empire State Building, but Terry has an accident and does not appear. Will Nickie discover the reason behind her absence, or are they destined to remain apart forever?

Miss Giddens has been hired by the children's uncle (Michael Redgrave) as a governess, and soon after taking the job, she starts seeing ghosts. Then she learns from the housekeeper (Megs Jenkins) that the children may be possessed with evil spirits. While questioning her own sanity, Miss Giddens does decide to rescue the children from whatever has them in its grip.

They decide to renew their vows, but Dan is called away on business, and his friend Ernie (Dean Martin) steps in to take care of Valerie. As luck would have it, that same lawyer Santos mistakenly marries Ernie and Valerie. Now, Valerie tries to use the marriage to get Dan back. It takes awhile, but by story's end, a wedding is being planned by Dan and Valerie.

  One of MGM's biggest productions at the time, "Quo Vadis," stars Peter Ustinov as the Roman Emperor Nero. As time passes, Marcus converts to Christianity, and Lygia falls in love with him. Meanwhile, Nero's actions against the Christians becomes more violent as he burns Rome and then throws the Christians to the lions. Nero's former aide Petronius (Leo Genn) posthumously delivers the final insult to Nero. The film received eight Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and two for Best Supporting Actor (Leo Genn and Peter Ustinov).

Deborah Kerr won an Emmy for her role in this TV production.
